Future Group 2026: A new chapter begins with Eurofinas joining the programme
Working in four teams, participants are developing innovative solutions on AI-based products and services, transition assets, European growth opportunities and new customer journeys. Their final projects will be presented during the Leaseurope & Eurofinas Annual Conventions on 16 October 2026 in Sofia, Bulgaria, showcasing the ideas and perspectives of the next generation of industry talent.
Since its launch in 2013, the Future Group Programme, developed in partnership with Invigors EMEA, has become a recognised platform for identifying and supporting emerging talent across Europe’s leasing and automotive rental industries. In 2026, the initiative reaches a new milestone with Eurofinas joining the programme and opening the door for young professionals from the consumer credit sector to take part for the first time.
This expansion reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of the industries represented by Leaseurope and Eurofinas. Bringing together participants from leasing, automotive rental and consumer credit creates a unique opportunity for cross-sector collaboration, allowing young professionals to exchange experiences, explore common challenges and develop innovative solutions that respond to the evolving needs of customers and businesses.
The 2026 Future Group brings together 21 participants from across Europe, including representatives from the consumer credit industry, all eager to contribute their expertise and develop forward-looking ideas. Divided into four teams, participants are addressing some of the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of our sectors:
- Team A: AI-Based Products and Services
- Team B: Supporting Transition Assets and the Transition Economy
- Team C: A European Product to Drive Growth in an Unstable World
- Team D: New Customer Journeys
Following a successful kick-off, participants have already gathered for two in-person meetings in Brussels, where they worked intensively with their teams, exchanged ideas and progressed on their projects. These sessions have helped establish strong connections between participants from different backgrounds and sectors, laying the foundations for continued collaboration in the months ahead.
Each team will continue refining its ideas and developing practical, innovative solutions before presenting the outcomes of their work to industry leaders during the Leaseurope & Eurofinas Annual Conventions on 16 October 2026 in Sofia, Bulgaria. The Friday morning session will provide an opportunity to discover the results of this year’s programme and highlight the value of cooperation across borders and industries.
By welcoming consumer credit professionals for the first time, the Future Group further strengthens its role as a flagship initiative for investing in future talent, encouraging innovation and fostering collaboration across Europe’s financial services industries. Over the past thirteen years, the programme has generated more than 160 innovative ideas and built a network of over 167 young professionals, creating a community of future leaders who continue to shape the evolution of their sectors.
Eurofinas looks forward to following the journey of this year’s participants and discovering the ideas that will contribute to the future of consumer credit, leasing and automotive rental industries.
